The Eugene S. and Blanche R. Halle Theatre will be holding open auditions
for a production of Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys, directed by Brian
Zoldessy.  The auditions will be held on Monday, July 30 and Tuesday, July
31 from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at the Halle Theatre in the Mayfield JCC,
3505 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights.  Callbacks will be on Wednesday,
August 1 at 7:00 p.m.

Auditioners should prepare one two-minute comic monologue.  Roles are
available for 5 men ages 30-80, and 2 women ages 20-50.  We will be
considering younger actors for the roles of Willie Clark and Al Lewis.
Production dates will be October 27 - November 11, 2001.  Call (216)
382-4000, Ext. 274 for an audition appointment and information.

Synopsis:  As the legendary vaudeville team The Sunshine Boys, Willie Clark
and Al Lewis had it all: hilarious gags, classic sketches and faultless
comic timing.  Together for forty-three years, they achieved national fame;
apart, they're a couple of lonely old men, nursing grudges against each
other.  They reluctantly reunite for a one-shot opportunity to be in the
limelight in this touchingly funny story of friendship and reconciliation.
