Announcing Auditions for
LEGENDS OF THE LAKES VI
A Joint Production of
The Steamship William G. Mather Museum
and
Eden Valley Enterprises

Auditions for Legends of the Lakes VI at the Steamship William G. Mather
Museum will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2001 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
at the Bay Village Library (502 Cahoon Rd.; Bay Village; 216-871-6392)
and on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Mather
Museum (1001 East Ninth St.; 216-574-9053.  Volunteer performers for
eight storytelling and two singer/guitar playing positions are being
sought. Storytellers and musicians coming to either audition should
register their name with the Mather via telephone (216-574-9053) or
e-mail (wgmather at aol.com).  Reservations are requested but not
required.  Prepare a short story (about 1 minute in length) or, if you
prefer, stories will be provided for auditions.  Singers should prepare
a song and bring their own guitar.  Volunteers interested in serving as
technicians and running crew should call the Mather Museum directly to
sign up for these positions.  

Legends of the Lakes is in its sixth year at the Mather Museum offering
a unique view of the former freighter flagship as well as the history of
the Great Lakes.  Stories of Inland Seas disasters, characters, legends
and history are staged throughout the historic Mather on Friday and
Saturday nights from October 12-27, 2001. Production direction and
technical/artistic design are provided by Eden Valley with the Museum's
staff and volunteers filling key production positions in preparation and
during the actual performance of the program.
