Boulevard Theatre will hold auditions for Sylvia, a comedy by A.R. Gurney.  
In Sylvia,  Greg is disillusioned by his job and is undergoing a mid-life 
crisis when he finds a stray dog named Sylvia in the park. His wife Kate is 
not at all happy about sharing her apartment -- and her husband's affections 
-- with a dog. 

Director is Melissa Welburn.

The roles are: 
Sylvia, an attractive 20s to 30s woman
Greg, mid-40s to 50s, a businessman
Kate, mid-40s to 50s, a junior high school English Teacher
Tom, another dog owner
Leslie, a female marriage counselor
Phyllis, Kate's friend

Note: The roles of Tom, Leslie and Phyllis may be played by the same person.

The auditions will be held at the Shaker Community Building, 3450 Lee Road, 
just South of Van Aken Boulevard, on the following dates: 
       Sunday August 26    2-4 p.m.
       Monday. August 27   7 - 9 p.m.
       Thursday, August 30 7-9 p.m. (callbacks)

Come prepared to read from the script.  No appointments are necessary.  

Boulevard Theatre is a community theatre that is part of the Shaker Heights 
Community Life Department.  The production will be held at Woodbury School, 
15700 S. Woodland Road in Shaker Heights.  Production dates are: 
Oct. 25, 26, 27 and 
Nov. 2, 3, 4, 9, 10
