An introduction to stiltwalking led by Wishhounds Artist Brett Keyser
Learn how to walk all over again=97re-discovering balance, confronting and=20
overcoming fear, feeling muscles you never knew were there before=97on your=20=
own=20
pair of stilts which you will build and keep.

Designed for anyone interested in walking tall=97for non-performers and=20
performers alike. No prior experience is necessary. Students under 18 must=20
have parental permission.

What You=92ll Need to Bring
--an inexpensive or retired pair of sneakers which you will permanently=20
attach to your stilts (make sure they fit well, they=92re comfortable, and,=20=
if=20
they=92re old, that they=92re not falling apart)
--sweatpants or other loose fitting long pants (shorts or jeans are not=20
recommended)
--water

Brett Keyser has been teaching stiltwalking since 1992. His stilt work has=20
been seen in Cleveland in CPT=92s The Skin of Our Teeth (April, =9100), and=20=
in=20
Theatre Labyrinth=92s Fragments of a Lost Apocalypse at the Tremont Arts and=
=20
Cultural Festival (September, =9199). He has also performed internationally=20=
with
 GallopaghosTheater and Catapult, two performance projects he co-founded to=20
produce European-style street theatre in cities across North America. He was=
=20
a founding organizer of the San Francisco Street Theatre Festival and an=20
associate artist with Winnipeg First Night =9192 and =9193. Brett apprentice=
d as=20
a stilt performer under Donald Kitt and Richard Fowler of Canada=92s Primus=20
Theatre, and has also studied at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts.
