Maggi Carlson Named Artistic Associate for The Repertory Project

National Search for Permanent Artistic Director Underway

The Repertory Project is pleased to announce the appointment of Maggi
Carlson as the Artistic Associate for The Repertory Project.  Ms. Carlson
has international experience in both ballet and modern dance.  She has
expertise in performing, teaching, choreographing, and working in a variety
of community settings.

Ms. Carlson served as Director of the School of Dance at the University of
Akron from 1985-1993.  In 1993, she became Dean of the School of Dance at
the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, until she returned to Cleveland
in 1999.  Since then, she served as the Development and Education Director
for the Cleveland San Jose Ballet.  She has consulted both nationally and
locally with groups such as The American Dance Guild, Chinese Performing
Artists of America, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, The Ohio Ballet,
Dancing Wheels, Ohio Youth Ballet, Ohio Conservatory of Dance, Tom and
Susana Evert Dance Theatre, and White Cloud Studios.

The Repertory Project has begun a national search for a new artistic
director following the resignation of founding artistic director, Susan
Miller
