The Eugene S. & Blanche R. Halle Theatre in the Jewish Community Center will
be holding auditions for the New Jewish Plays Festival. The auditions will
be held on Sunday, December 2nd and Monday, December 3rd from 7pm - 10pm at
the Jewish Community Center, located at 3505 Mayfield Road in Cleveland
Heights.

Performances will be on Thursday, December 13 at 7:30pm, when we will be
presenting scenes from the Dorothy Silver Playwriting Competition finalists
(directed by Larry Nehring), and on Saturday, December 15 at 8:30pm, when we
will be presenting the staged reading of the winner of this years
competition, Visions of Right by Marcia Cebulska (directed by Charles
Kartali). Roles are available for men and women ages 20 - 60. Auditioners
should prepare a one-minute monologue, or they can read from the script.
Please call the Halle Theatre Box Office for an audition appointment at
(216) 382-4000, Ext. 274.

Visions of Right concerns a photographer's confrontation with a religious
leader who preaches hate and who demonstrates against gays, Jews and
artists. The play is moving, provocative, and surprisingly funny. Other
finalists in the Dorothy Silver Playwriting Competition were Rowing to
Canaan by Wayne Liebman, Czar of Nothingness by Stuart Warmflash, Seed of
Abraham by Lois Meltzer, and Things Known and Unknown by Michael Wolfson.
