Characterization, Fabrication and Manipulation.  
(8 weeks) Saturdays, 10:30-12, starting 1/12/02
The course is designed for ages 13-adult 

Styles to be covered will include rod puppets with sculpted heads and costuming, shadow puppets, latex casting and photo collage puppets.

Course Description:
Develop the essential spirit of a puppet character.  Progress from imagination through function, form and fabrication into gesture and performance.  Utilize a variety of simple sketching or building techniques to begin mock-up forms toward final puppet realization.
