Actors' Summit announces opening of the family comedy
Over the River and Through the Woods

Actors' Summit announces the opening of Joe DiPietro's Over The River and
Through the Woods. A preview performance will be given on Thursday, January
10 with the opening night performance on Friday, January 11. Performances
continue Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sunday afternoons at
3:30 PM through January 27.

The Show:
This warm and riotously funny comedy about grandparents and grandchildren
opened in New York in 1998. Nick has had an unusual relationship with his
grandparents. For twenty-nine years he has had Sunday dinner with all four of
his grandparents. The two sets of grandparents live just two doors apart and
the two families have a close and wonderful relationship.
Over the years, the other members of the family have moved far away and
Nick is the only one who still lives nearby. The play begins with Nick
announcing that he has been offered a promotion that will take him to
Seattle. Distraught, the grandparents decide to give him a reason to stay by
fixing him up with the perfect girl. The plan works and doesn't work, with
hilarious results.

The Cast
This production features the talents of three of Ohio's most experienced
and respected actors. Bob Snook, a 25 year veteran of the Cleveland Play
House has come out of retirement to perform the role of Nunzio, a man who
insists that he "isn't loud, he's just passionate." Bob began acting in 1927
and turned professional in 1948 at the Berkshire Playhouse. The dynamic team
of Glen and Jean Colerider who have actually been married for 54 years, play
Aida and Frank. Glen and Jean have substantial experience, having acted
together since they met in a school production in the 4th grade. Glen is a
member of the Akron Radio Hall of Fame.
The quartet of grandparents is rounded out by veteran performer Lenne
Snively. The central role of Nick is performed by Peter Voinovich who
received critical raves for his performance as Dylan in Actors' Summit's
production of A Child's Christmas in Wales. The "perfect girl" for Nick is
played by Susanna Hobrath, a native Ohioan who has recently returned to the
state after pursuing her professional acting career in New York for the last
ten years.

The production is directed by Neil Thackaberry, Artistic Director of Actors'
Summit Theater. Set and lighting designs are by resident designer Bob
