About Alexandra Brin
Born in Moldova, the former Soviet Union, Brin finds inspiration for her
work from photo albums and stories told by her grandmother who lived in
Europe at the turn of the century. She loves to draw scenes from Old Europe.
While the world her grandmother lived has disappeared, she has tried to
revive these images through her art.
Educated at the Kishniev Art School, Brin moved to this country in 1990.
She formerly worked at American Greetings where she was the recipient of the
American Greetings Public Choice Award in 1992. Her works are displayed in
many collections throughout the U.S and Israel.
