The world's favorite orphan, Annie, is back on the stage at Heights Youth 
Theatre!  Opening this weekend, "Annie" will perform Saturdays on January 26, 
February 2, 9, 16, 23, and March 2, as well as Sundays on January 27 and 
February 17, all at 2p.m.

Produced and directed by Laura Gee, the cast of "Annie" includes nearly 90 
children between the ages of 5 and 17, drawn from several Northest Ohio 
communities, and is led by:

       Taylor Hess in the title role of Annie; Jamie Finkenthal as Grace 
Farrell; Gillian Goldberg as Mrs. Hannigan; Robyn Linden as Lily St. Regis; 
Alex Wyse as Rooster; and featuring professional actor 
Timothy A. Hnat as Daddy Warbucks.  Musical direction is by Maribeth Katt.  
Heights Youth Theatre has presented professional-quality entertainment for 
nearly 50 years.

The musical--with lyrics by Martin Charnin, music by Charles Strouse, and 
book by Thomas Meecham--opened on Broadway in 1977 and is based on Harold 
Gray's comic strip "Little Orphan Annie," about a loveable Depression-era 
orphan.

Tickets are $6.50 for 12 and older, and $6 for children under 12; the box 
office opens a half-hour before show times.  All HYT performances take place 
in the 900-seat auditorium at Wiley Middle School, 2181 Miramar Road, in

Heights Youth Theatre is celebrating the opening of "Annie" with its 2001-02 
season benefit, "Annie's It's A Hard Knock Life."  It takes place Friday, 
February 1 at 7p.m. at Casa Di Borally and features a reverse raffle and 
silent auction, gourmet dinner and open bar, and entertainment by "Annie" 
cast members.  Tickets are $75 a person or $125 a couple.  Call 216-591-0128
