CLEVELAND FILM SOCIETY ANNOUNCES
WINTER 2002 FILMMAKING WORKSHOPS

Cleveland Filmmakers, a program of the Cleveland Film Society, announces its
Winter 2002 series of filmmaking workshops for those who are interested in
learning about making films:
·	Producer’s Workshop - this three week course covers everything you need to
know to produce a film
Instructors:  David Litz, cinematographer / producer and Jack Yager,
producer
Dates:  three Saturday afternoons, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., February 2, 9, 16
Cost: $120 for Cleveland Filmmakers / Cleveland Film Society members or $140
for non-members

·	The Sound Department - this workshop is designed to familiarize students
with the basics of location sound recording for video and motion picture
film
Instructor: Tim Callahan, former freelance documentary filmmaker and
instructor of photography and motion picture film production at the
Rochester Institute of Technology
Dates: two Thursday evenings, 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m., February 21, 28
Cost: $60 for Cleveland Filmmakers / Cleveland Film Society members or $80
for non-members

All classes and workshops will be held in the Cleveland Film Society’s
office space at 2510 Market Avenue in Ohio City.  Class sizes are limited

The Cleveland Film Society is a not-for-profit arts and educational
