Charenton Theater Co. opening
‘The Caretaker’ on Playhouse Square
February 15 - March 9, 2002

	To open their new home at Playhouse Square Center,
Studio 210, Charenton will be bringing to life Harold
Pinter’s The Caretaker.

	An All-Star cast will grace this new stage to enliven
this brilliantly dark comedy encircling the power
struggle between two dysfunctional brothers and an
elderly vagrant taken into their home.  The play is a
wonderfully uncomfortable laugh riot into the depths
of human need.

	Joining the production in the role of Davies ‘the
vagrant’ is Reuben Silver, the 50 year mainstay and
model of Cleveland’s theatrical professional. Reuben
will be accompanied by two of Cleveland’s most
respected talents – Allan Byrne in the role of Aston,
and Kirk Brown as Mick.  This extraordinary cast will
delve into Pinter’s intricate world where the truth
and the power are always in question.

	The Caretaker will be performed February 15 – March
9, 2002 at Studio 210 a new theater in the Playhouse
Square Center complex located on the 2nd floor of the
Bulkley building between the Ohio and Allen Theaters. 
Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.
and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 general/ $15
students and seniors.
