Pulitzer-Prize Finalist Three Days of Rain Next CATCO Performance

Veteran Regional Actors, Columbus' Anne Diehl Star
in Compelling Drama about Relationships

Two siblings ... the death of a father ... the discovery of a journal ... a
reunion with an old friend ... the dissection of a past that reveals
unfamiliar details from a once-thought familiar world.

The story that results is an evocative tale, packed with subtlety,
cleverness and wit - Richard Greenberg's Pulitzer-Prize nominated drama,
Three Days of Rain. CATCO, the Contemporary American Theatre company will
present this popular regional theatre production, which explores
relationships and the events and emotions that unfold when you learn things
from the past you were never meant to know, Feb. 19-March 17, 2002, in the
Riffe Center Studio Two Theatre, 77 S. High St., fourth floor.

"Funny, penetrating and smart," says The Dallas Morning News, while the
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette calls Three Days of Rain "full of sharp family
resentment, smart and current in the way of a New Yorker short story."

Starring in Three Days of Rain are regional guest artists Richard McWilliams
(Pip/Theo), of Dayton, and Lawrence Nehring (Walker/Ned), of Cleveland, and
Anne Diehl (Nan/Lina), of Columbus.

McWilliams starred on Broadway in Orpheus Descending with Vanessa Redgrave,
and off Broadway in The Night Hank Williams Died, 27 Wagons Full of Cotton
and Macbeth. He has appeared in more than 30 regional productions, including
A Moon for the Misbegotten, A Streetcar Named Desire, Camille, Dial M for
Murder and Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf.

A well-known actor in Cleveland, Nehring has acted, directed and
choreographed productions for the Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Cleveland
Play House and Cleveland Opera. Regionally, he has worked with the North
Carolina Shakespeare Festival and Shakespeare in Delaware Park. He is
currently company manager of Flanagan's Wake and artistic director of the
Cleveland Shakespeare Festival.

Diehl teaches at Ohio Dominican College, and spent 10 years in New York
acting and producing in theatres, including The Irish Arts Center, Vineyard
Theatre and Theatre Off Park. She appeared last year in CATCO's highly
acclaimed production of Three Tall Women.

Sara Chazen, who teaches acting for stage and television at Miami
University, is directing her first CATCO production. Originally from New
York City, she has directed countless productions off Broadway, at regional
theatres and for television.

Tickets are $17 through $30, and are available by calling the CATCO Box
Office at 614.461.0010, or TicketMaster at 614.431.3600. Student, senior and
teacher discounts are available; matinees will be presented on select
Sundays.
