Patti LuPone to "Pinch-Hit" for Audra McDonald in Severance Hall Concert 
Monday, April 8th for the Benefit of Hitchcock Center for Women

CLEVELAND, OH. - March 21, 2002 - Award winning star of stage and screen, 
Patti LuPone, has agreed to "pinch-hit" for longtime personal friend, Audra 
McDonald, at the Monday, April 8, 2002, 8 p.m. Hitchcock Center for Women 
benefit concert in Severance Hall. Due to a last-minute rehearsal scheduling 
conflict Ms. McDonald regretfully had to bow out of the Severance Hall 
commitment, but in her place Clevelanders will receive a pre-tour theatrical 
performance by Ms. LuPone. She will be performing her new one-woman show, 
"Matters of the Heart" (complete with string quartet and piano 
accompaniment,) which she has performed at the Sydney Festival in Australia, 
London's Donmar Warehouse Theatre and throughout the US including an extended 
run at New York's Linclon Center Theater. 
    
Concert proceeds go to support the Hitchcock Center for Women's on-going, and 
very successful, substance abuse wellness program for homeless women and 
their children (pregnancy - 3 years old).

VIP tickets $150.00 (one box seat, opportunity to meet Ms. LuPone after 
concert and have 8x10 color photo taken by professional photographer)
