I have gotten a few complaints about missing information in some recent=20
postings.

Here is a reminder to everyone about how to post to NEohioPAL...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------=
--

---------------------------

To post a message to the NE Ohio Performing Arts list, please send your=20
message to this e-mail address: NEohioPAL at lists.fredsternfeld.com

Here are instructions:

1) Don't send a private message to me in the body of the posting as=20
everything that you send will get posted to the list. The "mailman" system=20
does not allow me to edit your message or your subject line. The mere act o=
f=20
sending your message to the above address will tell me you want to post it t=
o=20
the list.

2) The subscribers of NEohioPAL receive around 40-80 postings per week.=20
Because of this they are very selective about which postings they actually=20
open and read and which they delete. From the feedback I've gotten, message=
s=20
must have very specific information in the subject line to have a reasonable=
=20
chance of actually being open and read. At the minimum, the subject line=20
should contain the producing organization and event. Here are some examples=20
of good subject lines=E2=80=A6

=C2=B7 1/2 price tickets to neohiopal - Cuyahoga Players present Sondheim'=
s=20
"Pacific Overtures"
=C2=B7 Auditions for "Medea" at Lake Erie Theatre - all actors pd.
=C2=B7 Euclid Theatre spring drama classes for ages 7-14
=C2=B7 Plain Dealer Review of Bay Village Player's "The Crucible"

3) Put your message in plain text or html in the body of the e-mail. Basic=20
formatting is okay (fonts, point size, color, centering, etc.) =20

4) NO ATTACHMENTS AND NO GRAPHICS!!! Some people have their mailboxes set=20
to not accept attachments and I am wary of accidentally forwarding a virus.=20=
=20
If you want to have people view pictures and graphics then include a link to=
=20
a website. =20

4)  Carefully edit and spell-check your message.=20

5) Give ALL the basics: Who, What, When, Where and Contact information.

6) If people reply to your message, it will go directly back to you. The=20
e-mail address you originate it from will appear in the reply-to field in th=
e=20
header.=20

For more information about the list and "Frequently Asked Questions" you can=
=20
visit my website:  <A HREF=3D"http://www.fredsternfeld.com/">http://www.fred=
sternfeld.com</A>

Warm Regards,
Fred Sternfeld
