JCC Youth Theatre Presents Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good,
Very Bad Day

The Playmakers Youth Theatre at the Jewish Community Center presents the
Rochester Children's Theatre touring musical production of Alexander And The
Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, written by Judith Viorst with
music by Shelly Markham. This musical adaptation is based on the children's
book by the same name, also written by Judith Viorst.  Show date is Sunday,
June 9 at 3pm at the Stonehill auditorium of the Mandel JCC, 26001 South
Woodland Road, Beachwood.  
	Tickets:  $8 Adult, $6 JCC Members Seniors and Students, $4 children
3 and under.

About the Show and its Author

Not only does Alexander wake up with gum in his hair, his mother forgets to
pack him dessert and his best friend decides not to be his best friend
anymore.  Alexander's struggles with life's daily dramas will educate as
well as encourage kids to share their feelings and realize that bad days
happen to everyone.  Judith Viorst is the author of several works of fiction
and non-fiction for children as well as adults.  Alexander and the Terrible,
Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, her most famous children's book, was first
published in 1972 and has since sold over 2 million copies.  Ms. Viorst
lectures widely on a variety of topics ranging from the subjects of loss and
control to children's literature.
