II The Edge Festival Showcases Cleveland Talent
Hear. Experience. Witness. Encounter. Taste.

What:      From bellydancing to bubble structures and from fashion to
           funk, the second annual Edge Benefit offers Clevelanders a
           multi-sensory, interactive arts event like no other in the
           city.  Uniting local artists of all specialties, The Edge is
           a rotating show that blends stage concerts, stationary
           exhibits and interactive artist performances in a non-stop,
           crowd-level arts production.
Where:     Great Lakes Brewing Company's Tasting Room and Tank Farm
When:      Saturday, June 15, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
How Much:  Tickets are $35 in advance or $45 at the door.  Admission
           price includes access to an eclectic mix of nine bands, a
           world-class DJ, five dance troupes, more than 20 artists and
           performance artists, beverages provided by Great Lakes
           Brewery, and hot and cold hors d'oeuvres.

Local Fox personality Kenny Crumpton will be on-hand to emcee the event.  
Proceeds will benefit Young Audiences of Greater Cleveland.

Here's a sampling of what guests can expect to experience at The Edge:

Hear.  Live jazz, funk, Latin, electronic, reggae, blues and rock music by 
local bands including the A.C.O. (Afro-Cleveland Orchestra), The Burls, 
Candiamore with DJ Curry, The Mighty Levites, Pureplex, Racermason, Tre, The 
Tri-Tones and Zyklus II.  Globe-trotting DJ Dan Curtin will spin deep house 
music.

Experience.  Art by David Schwartz, Doug Meyer, groop, Hard Candy, Tracy 
Cholley, Urban Decay, Joe Nanashe, Daniel Ross, Mike Moritz, Jeremy Jenkins, 
Jason Bowers, Julie Barcza, Dan Grantham and Abe Olvido.

Witness.  Dance by The Humble Ones (formerly Ground F/X B-Boys), In.Let, 
SAFMOD, Troupe Benazir and Troupe Hareem Shar'eem.

Encounter.  Performances by object manipulator Aaron Bonk, fire breathers, 
stilt walkers, contortionists and other interactive talent.

Taste.  Adult beverages provided by Great Lakes Brewery, and hors d'oeuvres 
provided by distinctive Cleveland restaurants including Flying Fig, Fulton 
Bar & Grill, Fusion, Great Lakes Brewery, Heck's Café, Johnny Mango, Lincoln 
Park Pub, Lopez, Luchita's, Marigold Café & Catering, Mosaica Restaurant, 
Culinary Artist and Arminta Thompson Baker.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Young Audiences of Greater Cleveland 
(YAGC).  Founded in 1953, YAGC is a non-profit organization whose mission is 
to enrich the lives of children and promote creative learning by uniting

Many of the artists involved with The Edge work in local schools on behalf 
of YAGC.  Each year, Young Audiences enriches the lives and education of 
more than 320,000 students in grades pre-K to12 through 8,000 in-school 
residency, workshop and assembly programs.  The Edge helps ensure that 
children throughout Greater Cleveland will receive the privilege of an arts 
education.
