Ron Howard is gonna' be hosting a 3-day National Open Casting Call for "The Alamo" at the end of June at Riverbend Church in Texas. Details are expected soon. Word is that filming will start in September near Dripping Springs and he's looking for "unknowns" from all walks of life. What I was told was to think of the way Platoon was casted...and now you know the deal.
