"ONCE ON THIS ISLAND A CALYPSO DELIGHT AT PORTHOUSE" "If you only see one
show this summer make it ONCE ON THIS ISLAND" Roy Berko (The Times
Newspapers)

"Porthouse musical a must-see. This is a joyful musical experience that
audiences won't want to miss. Friday night's audience screamed in such
appreciation, the outdoor amphitheater felt like a rock concert." Kerry
Clawson (Akron Beacon Journal)

This is the last week to catch this vibrant and exciting musical. ONCE ON
THIS ISLAND is a calypso-flavored legend that tells the story of Ti Moune, a
poor peasant girl who falls in love with Daniel, an upper class boy, after she
saves his life. The gods of the island cause the lives of the young lovers to
intersect and send Ti Moune on a fateful journey that tests the strength of
her love over prejudice and even death. Performances are Tuesday, June 25 -
Saturday, June 29 at 8 PM. For more information regarding Porthouse Theatre
