The Mad Theater Co.
Seeking a Director for our production of Anton Chekhov's IVANOV (adapted by David Hare).  The production dates are scheduled for:   Feb. 21 - March 9  2003.  
*There is a small stipend available as a Guest Director.
All performances/rehearsals will be held at the new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Complex located at the Tri-C East Campus, 4250 Richmond Rd. in Highland Hills (15 min. from downtown Cleveland).
IVANOV is a complex, passionate play with a large cast of 15-18 people.  There will be a limited number of scripts available to read.
IVANOV (The Play):
Chekhov's first, but least known major play in a new version from David Hare.  The play focuses on a disillusioned Ivanov who no longer loves his adoring ailing wife, and begins a passionate affair with the daughter of his best friend.  IVANOV is the fierce and funny portrait of a man whose life is plummeting fast into domestic and philosophical chaos.
*This adaptation by David Hare premiered at the Almeida Theatre, London, in February 1997 with Ralphe Fiennes as Ivanov.
