Two More Weekends!!!

Workshop Players announces the final production of the 2001-2002 season,=20
David Ives' All in the Timing.
Director Mitch Manthey has concocted an evening of variety programming. All=20
in the Timing consists of 5 one-act comedies. "Sure Thing" is a classic of=20
contemporary comedy. Two people meet in a caf=E9 and find their way through=20=
a=20
conversational minefield as an offstage bell interrupts their false starts,=20
gaffes and faux pas on the way to falling in love. "Words, Words, Words"=20
recalls the old adage that three monkeys typing into oblivion will eventuall=
y=20
produce Hamlet and asks: what would monkeys talk about at their typewriters?=
=20
"The Universal Language" brings together a young woman with a stutter and a=20
young man who has created Unamunda, a wild comic language. Their lesson send=
s=20
them off into a dazzling display of verbal pyrotechnics. "The Philadelphia"=20
presents a young man in a restaurant who has fallen into "a Philadelphia," a=
=20
Twilight Zone-like state in which he cannot get anything he asks for. His=20
only way out of the dilemma? To ask for the opposite of whatever he wants.=20
"Variations on the Death of Trotsky" shows us the Russian revolutionary on=20
the day of his demise, desperately trying to cope with the mountain climber'=
s=20
ax he's discovered in his head.

Actors Sarah Boesger, Ryan Downey, Ryan Finnegan, Mike Leuszler, Becky=20
Reynolds, Dennis Runkle and Dena Warmuth combine to create the variety of=20
characters that populate these skits.

All in the Timing is a different kind of play. Due to adult topics and some=20
adult language, children are NOT encouraged to attend.

Production dates are July 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 & 27 at 8 p.m. There will=20
also be Sunday matinees on July 21 & 28 at 3:00. Tickets are $8.50 each and=20
may be reserved by calling the box office at 440-988-5613.
Workshop Players Theatre is located at 44820 Middle Ridge Road in Amherst.=20
