Chagrin Valley Little Theatre presents Footloose, Fridays and Saturdays at
8 p.m through August 17 with matinees on Sunday, July 28 and August 4 at 2 p.m.
Many in the community thought the show would be cancelled following the
suddent death of Bob Stegmiller, who was directing the show. Michael Flohr,
who was musical director, stepped in as director to pull together
our little theater community and create a solid production that Bob would
have been proud of.
Although our production of Footloose didn't start out as a tribute to Bob
Stegmiller, it has become that through the dedication and professionalism
of our cast. In the face of what could have been a downbeat situation, they
have banded together with determination to make this the best production of
Footloose presented in northeast Ohio this season.
The result leaves audiences feeling good, tapping their toes with the
music, humming the score throughout the week.
In the tradition of shows like Rent or Chess in London that have lost an
integral person either just before opening or during production, the CVLT
production of Footloose demonstrates an unusual commitment, drive and energy.
Michael and the cast hope you will enjoy the show and feel the spirit and
love behind it.
