CLEVELAND, OHIO-This is your last chance to view some great 
independent films in a leisurely outdoor, downtown location.  These 
cinematic gems represent a sample of innovative programming shown at 
Independent Pictures' Ohio Independent Film Festival.

After eleven weeks of playing works by local and national independent 
artists on the video boards at Playhouse Square, the inaugural event 
will come to a close with its final performances Tuesday, August 20 
to Friday, August 23 at the lunchtime hour (12:30 PM) daily, and 
Thursday at 7 PM.

Cindy Penter will close the season with a collection of her short 
films. A local filmmaker, Cindy Penter also teaches film appreciation 
classes at Cleveland State University.

Sponsored by Independent Pictures, Cleveland Theatre District and 
Adelphia Cable, the short films also run on your local Adelphia Cable 
channel and are hosted by Independent Pictures' co-founder, 
Bernadette Gillota.  The Summer Shorts cable show will continue for 
several more weeks.  

Independent Pictures supports emerging media artists and the 
exhibition of their film and video projects to a wider audience 
through the Ohio Independent Film Festival and other programs such as 
the Ohio Independent Screenplay Awards, Script Mill, film training 
programs, and workshops.
