PIANIST / KEYBOARDIST  ACCOMPANIST NEEDED

Female vocalist in search of dedicated accompanist for the Cleveland 
Metropolitan Area, for piano and voice.   Engagements are professional, 
ranging from small lunchtime programs (infrequent) netting $50-75pp, to 
Cleveland jazz restaurants, cabarets or recitals (~$100 - 250pp).   This 
individual must own a keyboard and tuxedo (or elegant, dark dress).   
Vocalist does have a Crate 4 channel PA + Peavey speakers.   Must read music, 
and be able to improvise.  Transposition capability preferred.   Majority of 
pieces are torch songs, jazz swing, minimal blues, Broadway ballads, 'or' 
classical Italian arias, sacred and art songs, 'or' famous international 
contemporary songs (it all depends on the gig!).   In other words, 
versatility is a must.   If only the jazz and Broadway is available, please 
respond anyway (likewise if only the classically oriented field is 
available).   Vocalist has been likened to Judy Garland, Cleo Laine, Barbara 
Streisand, Joan Sutherland, Jane Froman, Whitney Houston, Nana Mouskouri.   
Seeking a sensitive player, one who has experience playing for vocalists, who 
knows how to not only enhance, but support voice, and is willing to do that 
versus think like a sole instrumentalist.   MUST be willing to rehearse 
(unpaid) minimum of twice per month (2 hrs each).   Gigs may be weekly, 
depending on mutual schedules, and progress made at rehearsal.

Sobriety essential please.  Non-smokers preferred.
