Weathervane Playhouse Announces Auditions for THE LARAMIE PROJECT

(Akron, Ohio, August 27, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE...)  Weathervane Playhouse 
will hold AUDITIONS for The Laramie Project, written by Moises Kaufman & The 
Members of the Tectonic Theatre Project.

OPEN AUDITIONS will be held, Monday, September 16 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT will be held on Tuesday, September 17 from 6-8 p.m.

CALLBACKS 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 17.
Auditions will be held at Weathervane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane, 
Akron, In the Valley off Merriman Road.
Cast requirements:  4 MEN ages 25 - 55
                               4 WOMEN ages 25-55

Please prepare a 1-minute dramatic monologue. A monologue from the script may 
be used.  Scripts will be available for perusal in the lobby or for a 
three-day checkout period with a $5.00 deposit. REHEARSALS will follow a 
non-tradition schedule with weekly readings will begin in October. 

Director for the production is Jacqi Lowey.  Lowey directed Weathervane's 
productions of "The Fantasticks" this past season and "Little Shop of 
Horrors" a couple of seasons ago.  Recent directing credits also include 
"Look Back in Anger" at Charenton Theater Company, "Speed-the-Plow" at The 
University of Akron and "The Eight: Reindeer Monologues" at Cleveland Public 
Theater.

Keytack!

Weathervane Playhouse is committed to non-traditional casting. Except in 
cases where race, gender, age or disability is essential to the play, all 
roles will be cast on the basis of talent.  Weathervane Playhouse is a 
community theater.  All performers in all productions are volunteers.  For
