“Battle of the Bands: Finals”

Head2Head Productions is holding the last in a series
of contests to pick the band that will win a
soundtrack deal with Marcus Cooks’ upcoming feature
“Dead Planet”. The “Battle” began four weeks ago on
August 19th. Four weeks and 19 bands later, 3 winners
have been chosen to represent at the final showdown.
They are BIASTFEAR, DIRT and NO BLINDFOLD. There will
be special performances by CHIMAIRA and CRACKJAW.

Part of the proceeds from the event will help fund the
production of “Dead Planet” a new sci-fi horror
feature written and directed by Marcus Cook (director
of “Love in a Straitjacket”) and produced by Steven
Williams scheduled to begin shooting Spring 2003.
Heading up the cast are Robyn Griggs (NBC’s “Another
World”), Reggie Bannister (“Phantasm”), Michael
Berryman (“The Hills Have Eyes”), Robert Z’Dar
(“Maniac Cop”), Bill Mosely  (“Texas Chainsaw Massacre
2”) and Mike Quinn (“Return of the Jedi”).  Some cast
members are scheduled to show up to the final “Battle
of the Bands”. 

Attendees can win a chance for a walk-on role in “Dead
Planet” or a day with the star of the film, Robyn
Griggs.

The final “Battle of the Bands” will be held at the
Odeon (216.574.2525), 1295 Old River Road, Cleveland,
Ohio, 44113 on Saturday, October 5th,, 2002. Doors
open at 8pm. Tickets are $12.50 in advance at all
Ticketmaster outlets and $14 at the door. For more
