Queer Shorts Film Fest Moves To UA Campus
Queer Shorts, an evening of Gay and Lesbian-themed short films, will be presented on Monday, October 7 at 7PM in the Gardner Student Center Theatre, on the campus of the University of Akron. General admission costs $3.
Queer Shorts is produced by The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered Union and the University Programming Board, two student organizations, in co-operation with Out In Akron Inc.
Queer Shorts has, for the last five years, been a part of the Out In Akron festival, a weekend long LGBT cultural celebration held to co-incide with National Coming Out Week. The film festival’s move to the University of Akron resulted from the cancellation of this year’s OIA events. Queer Shorts will be presented in co-operation with the Out In Akron board of trustees.
