For the third year in a row, the Ohio Independent Film Festival will=20
hold a Director of Photography Workshop to not only educate budding=20
filmmakers but to encourage them to shoot breathtaking images.

Three different, professional directors of photography (DP=A1=A6s=20
including Robert Banks and others) will have the task, within 2 hours=20
timeframe each, to light, stage, direct, and shoot their a horror or=20
thriller scene using only two rolls of 16 mm film.=20

The benefit workshop participants will gain is the exposure to=20
various working styles and methods which different DP's work. And=20
with a time restrained schedule, working against the clock will also=20
provide an example of how to quickly and effectively shoot a scene.

The 3rd Annual Director of Photography Workshop takes place on Sunday=20
November 3rd from 9AM to 5PM at the WVIZ/PBS - ideastream studios=20
located at 4300 Brookpark Road in Cleveland, Ohio. There is a fee of=20
$10 dollars to cover film expenses and admission to the Ohio=20
Independent Film Festival. Footage shot will be screened the=20
following weekend at Cleveland Public Theatre=A1=A6s Gordon Square=20
Theatre. (Time will be announced at the workshop).

The workshop is presented by Media Design Imaging, Inc. with=20
participation from Cleveland Chapter of NATAS (The National Academy=20
of Television Arts and Sciences) and co-sponsored by Kodak, Inc.,=20
FilmCraft Labs, Stone Model and Talent Agency, Loresa=A1=A6s Make-up, The=20
Don Diablo Show, Independent Pictures and WVIZ/PBS - ideastream.=20

Also programmed for the Ohio Independent Film Festival's tenth year=20
is a documentary workshop, visual effects instruction from Los=20
Angeles-based effects supervisor Stephen Lebed (Independence Day,=20
Charmed, TV Star Treks, etc), Script Mill - the annual staged reading=20
of a finalist from the Ohio Independent Screenplay Awards, and a host=20
of short and feature length independent movies.

Independent Pictures supports emerging media artists and the=20
exhibition of their films and video projects to a wider audience=20
through the Ohio Independent Film Festival and other programs such as=20
the Ohio Independent Screenplay Awards, Script Mill, film training=20
programs, and workshops.
