Actors' Summit hosts
The return of illuminata dance theater.

The illuminata dance theater will perform their newest work g(r)o(w)ing up, a
journey, Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 at 8 PM and Sunday,
October 20 at 3:30 PM at Actors' Summit Theater in Hudson, Ohio.

The piece is a continuous, hour-long work that explores the roles women
inhabit in contemporary society. Occasionally serious, sometimes comic,
g(r)o(w)ing up is the result of a year of collaborative work by the company
members. Performed without an intermission, it is the reintroduction of the
company to the public after a hiatus (graduate school).

Featuring Julie Goncy, Sasha Thackaberry, and Rachel Westlake, the work
combines dynamic visual imagery with a collage of music including artists
such as Ani DiFranco, Billie Holliday, Sinead Lohan and Diane Reeves. The
focus is the physical collision of the inner world with the outer.

The work is choreographed by Sasha Thackaberry with extensive collaborative
input from company members, Julie Goncy and Rachel Westlake. The performance
is recommended for mature audiences only.

Tickets
Tickets for adults are $10 in advance and $14 on the day of performance,
students and seniors are $8 in advance and $12 at the door. Sunday is a "pay
what you can performance.

Location
Actors' Summit is located at 86 Owen Brown Street in downtown Hudson, two
blocks west and 1 block north of the clocktower.
