"The Insect Play" by Karel and Joseph Capek will be presented at Miller 
South School for the Visual & Performing Arts on Friday, Nov 1st at 9 AM 
and on Saturday, Nov 2nd at 7 PM. The school is located at 1055 East 
Ave. in Akron.

This post WWII Czechoslovakian play is a surrealistic comedy about the 
human condition as revealed by various insect cultures:  social 
butterflies, predators, parasites, and army ants. The play is directed 
by Wendy S. Duke with technical direction by Jack Gwinn. Combat 
choreography by D.J. Remark.  Moth choreography by Abbi Remark.  With 
Katie Markovich as the Baglady and a cast of 51 supporting actors as 
insects.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students.  Due to 
the serious themes in this play, it is not recommended for students
