This weekend is the final weekend of the Next Stage Festival of New Plays
at the Cleveland Play House.

New Work From High School Playwrights

Continuing a Next Stage tradition, this year we present two 17 year-old
playwrights from the Cleveland area. Dan Kalafat has written BREAKABLE, and
Leah Krauss has written NEVER MEANT TO BE BROKEN. Both plays explore coming
of age in a very complicated world, and both explore the intricacies and
mysteries of friendship with great poise and sophistication. Directed by
Ron Wilson.

Sunday, November 17

MADE IN KOREA, by Sarah Schulman. Directed by Seth Gordon.

In 1964, at the age of four, an American family adopted Mi Ok from an
orphanage in Korea. Growing up as Anne Hanson, going through college,
falling in and out of love, she always felt disconnected and suspicious of
intimacy. Finally, Anne decides to find out the true story of her origins,
hoping for resolution and peace. A play about history, identity, family and
friendship. From the author of last year's off-Broadway success, CARSON
MCCULLERS (HISTORICALLY INACCURATE).

Both readings at 7:30 PM in the Brooks Theatre at the Cleveland Play House.
Tickets are only $8 and can be reserved at 216 795 7000.
