Rather than a review of "Oleanna" the story of a coed's alleged abuse
accusations against her male professor, at Boulevard Theatre, I just wanted
to express my complete delight and "almost" unexpected pleasure with the
show. The "almost" is a fear of Mamet in less than professional hands. As
I'm sure you all know, it can be deadly, but this show was indeed in the
hands of professionals all the way and anything but deadly. The actors, Mark
Cipra and Meg Santisi, were superb. That is not a phrase I throw around
lightly. In fact, it is a phrase I rarely use to describe anything, but it is
deserved in this case. John's (Cipra) slow, steady, painful decline to
destruction was something to behold. And Carol's (Santisi) equally slow and
steady climb to power was just as strong. The relationship between these two
people is a delicately balanced high wire act, one that director, Greg Vovos
achieves beautifully. The efforts of all envoloved should be applauded.

I am hard press to remember the last time I was so engrossed in a
piece of theatre. I hope you will not miss this outstanding event in our
city. I have attached their press release for your information.
Thank you Boulevard Theatre for an evening I won't soon forget.
