JOIN KSU=92S SCHOOL OF THEATRE & DANCE IN THE NEW YEAR
Travel through time in 2003 with gamblers, dancers and Victorian explorers

Kent, Ohio =96 Kent State University=92s School of Theatre & Dance 2003 spring 
season  explores the past, present and future.  Start the New Year off with 
the Tony & Grammy Award winning musical, Guys & Dolls.   Dance Majors and 
Minors display their talent in the Student Dance Festival and Theatre Majors 
and Minors do the same during the Student Theatre Festival.  The Kent Dance 
Ensemble presents its annual concert in April.  Three Victorian explorers 
close the season with On the Verge.

Spring semester begins with the Tony and Grammy Award winner, Guys & Dolls.  
Directed by Professor Terri Kent, 1940=92s Broadway comes to life February 21 =96 
March 2, 2003 in the E. Turner Stump Theatre.  Join these renowned gamblers on 
March 1 for Casino Night.  Proceeds of this exciting evening to benefit the 
William Zucchero Memorial Guest Artist Series Endowment.  For more information

Minors strut their stuff by choreographing for the Student Dance Festival, one 
of Kent State=92s most diverse performances, which takes place in Wright-Curtis 
Theatre.  Explore the racial tension of the present day in Rebecca Gilman=92s 
Spinning Into Butter.  MA student, Jd. Bowman directs this insightful 
production as a part of the Student Theatre Festival, March 18 =96 20 in B005 of 
the Music & Speech Center.  The Kent Dance Ensemble will perform their 
concert, Nein Young, April 4 =96 6, 2003.  The KSU student touring company will 
present its annual concert of modern dance & jazz choreography E. Turner Stump 
Theatre.  Three Victorian explorers close the season in On the Verge, April 17 
=96 27, 2003.  Directed by Professor Eric van Baars, three woman travel through 
physical space and time to discover who they really are.

Performances are Tuesdays =96 Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 2:30 PM.  Tickets 
are $10 for adults, $8 for Seniors, KSU Alumni and KSU Faculty/Staff and $7 
for students under 18 or with any valid school ID.  Groups of ten or more can 
receive discounted tickets by calling 330-672-2497.  The School of Theatre & 
Dance box office opens on February 3.  Box-office hours are 12 PM =96 5 PM, 
Mondays =96 Fridays, 3 PM =96 7 PM during the run of the show and one hour before 
performance times.  Tickets can be purchased by calling 330-672-2497.  The box 
office accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.  Tickets purchased by phone
