âThe IT girl is what you want her to be, but not who you think she is.â
Emmy winning writer and director Alex P. Michaelsâ short movie âThe IT girlâ will be showing at the Foxgrape Film Series this Saturday January 25th at 9pm. The FREE SCREENING will be at The Carlye Shop at 17 West College Street in Oberlin, Ohio. Mr. Michaels will be on hand at the screening. The short stars Andrea Gall, and Dawn Pierce (who studied at Stella Adler and the Actor's Studio).
âThe IT girlâ is loosely inspired by James A. Triptreeâs âThe girl who was plugged in.â The short is about images and manipulation. In a way of art imitating life, the new Prelude2Cinema site includes a Javascript interfacing starring the âIT girl.â

A second short is in the works, but to see the first one, attend the screening at The Carlye Shop at 17 West College Street in Oberlin, Ohio Saturday January 25th at 9pm and help support indie film screenings.
âThe IT girlâ will be screened along with William A. Johnsâ âWe Have Your Daughter.â Mr. Johns will be attending the screening.
âWhat would you do if you were kidnapped and held for ransom?
In âWe Have Your Daughter,â a young girl and her father have prepared for just such an event, but as the story unfolds the girl realizes that no one can be prepared for the twists and turns that fate has in store. The short stars Renee Schilling, Daniel Usaj and Terry Giancaterino. Crew included: Andy Schofield. This award winning short is now being developed into a feature film called "The Reunion".
