The Aurora Community Theatre will be holding auditions for its =
production of STATE FAIR by=20

Rodgers and Hammerstein, Directed by J. T. Buck.

Open call audition dates are February 16th from 3:00- 5:30 p.m. and =
February 17th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.=20

Auditions will be held at the Center for the Performing Arts located in =
the Aurora Memorial Library building at 115 East Pioneer Trail, Aurora, =
OH. (in the Aurora town center at the intersection of State Routes 43 =
and 306, behind the gazebo).

CASTING REQUIREMENTS ARE:=20

  a.. Male baritone, mid 40's to mid 50's;=20
  b.. Female mezzo, belter preferred but not necessary, late teens/early =
20's
  c.. Male tenor moves well in 20's=20
  d.. Jazz singer with strong sexy voice and dancing ability, late 20's =
to early 30's=20
  e.. Boyish tenor, late teens to early 20's
  f.. Alto, warm and motherly, 40's to 50's
  g.. 15 men aged 16 to 70 years
  h.. 15 women aged 16 to 70 years
  i.. 5 children aged 7 to 14 years=20
PERSONS AUDITIONING SHOULD BE PREPARED TO:

  a.. Sing one Rodgers and Hammerstein song, which shows off their =
range. Accompanist provided.
  b.. Bring sheet music in your key. No a cappella singing.
  c.. If interested in a speaking role, be prepared to read from the =
script
  d.. Learn a short and simple dance sequence (tap, jazz, ballet and =
folk), so dress comfortably
  e.. Demonstrate specialty act if applicable
Show dates are Fridays and Saturdays April 25, thru May 17, 2003 and =
Sunday May 4th, 2003.

Scripts of the show may be previewed at the Aurora Library.
