Dear Friends, 

Don't forget about ONE Weekend for Peace, this Sunday and Monday. We kick off 
our events with A SHOW OF PEACE, Sunday, February 16th, at  Church of the 
Covenant, 11205 Euclid Avenue, off of University Circle and take to the 
streets on Monday morning! 

Please note in the schedule below the fabulous addition of Cuyahoga County 
Poet Laureate, Daniel Thompson. Daniel will read some of his poetry before 
our finale, a gospel concert from The Morning Star Baptist Church Mass Choir! 
  

Doors will open @1:30 pm.  

Pre- show festivities include music from Lee Chilcote, and Latin dance from 
TangoMe. 

2-3 pm Welcome from Reverend James F. Dowd, and  WCPN's Dee Perry. Dance from 
SAFMOD. Political satire  from  Cleveland Public Theatre. 

3-4 pm Poetry and readings from Mary Weems, Scott Plate, Cathy Albers, and 
Rafeeq  Washington. Music from Vernacular.

4-5 pm Music from members of The Cleveland Orchestra. 
            Poetry from Sandra Perlman 
 
5-6 pm  Improv comedy from Cabaret Dada. Dance from Groundworks Dancetheater,
             and Sabatino Verlezza and Dancers. Performance poetry from Megan 
Elk. 

6-6:30 pm  Folk music from Joe Jencks.

6:30-6:45 pm  More Dada! 

6:45- 7:15 pm  Jazz from CWRU Jazz Ensemble. 

7:15-7:30 pm  Readings from Christine McBurney and Cuyahoga County Poet 
Laureate Daniel Thompson. 

7:30 pm  Gospel music  from Morning Star Baptist Church Mass Choir.        

Additional activities for Kids and Families from 2-4 pm include poetry with 
Carolyn Koesters, mural making with Deb Wuliger, beading with Leatrice Tolls, 
dance with The Samba School Dancers, music with Ron Bishop, storytelling with 
Dagmar Celeste, and peace cranes with Tim Smith. 

This event is FREE and open to all. 

Artists will also be demonstrating on Monday, February 17th. If interested,
