Dear Family, Friends, Romans, Countrymen, etc..,

For those of you whom have not had the opportunity to hear or see Sharon
Shaffer -singer/actress perform since she decided to drag herself out of
retirement (kicking and screaming I might add) here is the perfect
opportunity.

Wednesday Evening February 19th at 7:00 PM,
at the Fairmount Temple
(near the intersection of Fairmount and Green Roads)

the Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra Chorus are sponsoring a
Master Class performance with Michelle DeYoung (an apparently famous Mezzo
Soprano) and I was chosen to be one of the participants (4 total). I will be
singing a gorgeous Liszt song (Oh! Quand je dors) and a Bellini aria (Qui la
voce). Since it is a Master Class and not a full recital it won't be a very
long time commitment for those of you who always have better places to be.
And for those of you who would consider wimping out because you have never
been in a concert situation, this format is a perfect introduction to
classical singing: 4 or 5 singers will sing 1 or 2 songs and then the master
class teacher attempts to make an improvement or provide guidance either,
musically, vocally, or stylistically etc.. Well, before I say good-bye I feel
I should mention that I am still

 Teaching Private Voice Lessons
eartraining/acting/audition prep. and group voice classes
in my private Solon studio (440-248-9842), but will be expanding to 2 studios
April 1st. Think about it, going to performances is a good way to shop for a
voice teacher; you go and see the performance and say, "yea, I wanna study
with her!"

If you come and support me (applaud loudly, screaming and whistling is good
too), you can have an evaluation lesson for free

...and you can help me solve the age old question: If a singer performs
without an audience (in the forest...whatever), has she really performed at
all?
