SPINNING INTO BUTTER AT KENT STATE UNIVERSITY!
Student Theatre Festival presents Rebecca Gilman=92s SPINNING INTO BUTTER

=09Kent, Ohio =96 Directed by MA graduate candidate Jd. Bowman, SPINNING INTO 
BUTTER runs March 18 - 20, at Kent State University=92s School of Theatre & 
Dance.  Spinning Into Butter explores the racial tensions of modern day at a 
small, private college in New England.

Explore the racial tension of the present day in Rebecca Gilman=92s SPINNING 
INTO BUTTER.  MA student, Jd. Bowman directs this insightful production as a 
part of the Student Theatre Festival, March 18 =96 20 in B005 of the Music & 
Speech Center.  When an African-American student at a small New England 
college receives hate mail, Dean of Students Sarah Daniels finds herself 
caught in a maelstrom of protests and administrative red-tape.  Circumstances 
threaten to spin out of control as she scrambles to contain the crisis in this 
satirical and searing exploration of America=92s liberal conscience.  Sarah is 
forced to probe her own feelings and her surprising insights leads to 
unpredictable consequences.  SPINNING INTO BUTTER will be presented in B005 in 
the Music & Speech Building on the Main Kent State University campus.  
Performances are March 18 - 20, at 8 PM.

Tickets are free for this production but reservations must be made as there is 
limited seating.  The box office hours are 12 PM =96 5 PM, Mondays =96 Fridays.
