8:00 P.M. Gordon Square Theatre

Cleveland Public Theatre announces its 9th annual Silent Art Auction
Saturday, April 12, 2003 at 8:00pm.  Eagerly anticipated by supporters of
the performing arts, art collectors, and partygoers alike, this annual event
provides a unique opportunity to purchase selected artwork from over 80 of
Cleveland’s finest artists while helping to support Cleveland Public
Theatre. The benefit returns to its roots this year with the auction taking
place in CPT’s historic Gordon Square Theatre located at 6415 Detroit Avenue
on the Near West side of Cleveland.  Among the featured artists are Hector
Vega, Derek Hess, Bridget Ginley, Catherine Butler, George Kocar, Michael
Gentile, Anna Arnold, Scott Radke, Alexandra Underhill, and Rev. Albert
Wagner.  A wide variety of works will be available, including paintings,
photographs, prints, sculpture, ceramics, glasswork, jewelry and more.

Registration and bidding for the silent auction will begin at 8:00pm with
final bids ending at 10:15pm.  Complementing the evening will be
performances by internationally renowned composer Halim El-Dabh introducing
his new piece Obsessions For Oil - My Name Is Peace accompanied by
Einstein's Secret Orchestra with spinning throughout the evening by DJ Neil
Chastain.

Admission to Cleveland Public Theatre’s Annual Silent Art Auction is $5.00
