Auditions for Mercury Summer Stock's fifth season will be
Sunday March 30 (4 pm - 10 pm)
Monday March 31 (6 pm - 8 pm )
Callbacks on Monday March 31 from 8 pm - 11 pm
at the Bedford Heights Community Center

The MSS season includes:

HONK!  June 6-14
(an encore presentation of last season's hit production)
Peter & Wendy  July 5-12
(a World Premiere)
FAME!, the Musical  July 25-August 2

For the auditions, please prepare Two short songs (up-tempo and ballad).  A 
short monologue is required for actors auditioning for Peter & Wendy.  
Material from the shows is appreciated when possible.
Women should belt.
Auditions are scheduled in five minute time slots so please choose your 
selections appropriately.

Ugly: gawky and odd-looking, good swimmer
Ida: Ugly's Mother
Cat: sly and cunning, hungry
In the Barnyard:
Drake: Ugly's father
Turkey: School Headmaster
Henrietta: neighbor
Maureen: Ida's friend
Grace: most distinguished duck on the lake
Maggie Pie or Jay Bird (depending on actor's sex): TV Presenter
Ducklings: Ugly's siblings (Beaky, Fluff, Billy, Downy)
Fish

Greylag: Admiral Goose
Dot: His understanding wife
Snowy, Barnacles,Pinkfoot: Greylag's flock
Queenie: Very Domesticated Cat
Lowbutt: Very Domesticated Hen

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

Wendy - narrator of show, plays multiple characters and must be good with 
different voices
Wendy - age 10
Peter Pan - age 8 to early teens
Michael - age 8
John - age 12
Lost boys - 6, various ages and sizes needed - may be girls
Hook - villainous, with evil laugh - child or adult
Smee - child or adult - character voice needed
Tiger Lily - girl in teens
Tinker - age 6-8
Dancers - 3 , may be male of female

As the show takes place in England,  proper British accents are required by 
all characters

Tyrone Jackson, headstrong, able, dancer - a functional illiterate
Carmen Diaz, insecure, talented dancer/ singer
Nick Piazza, handsome, serious actor
Serena Katz, insecure, shy actress
Schlomo Metzenbaum, affable, sensitive violinist
Miss Sherman, traditionalist, English teacher
Joe (Jose) Vegas, high energy, charming actor
Miss Bell, dance teacher, puts art first
Mr. Sheinkopf, music teacher, distinguished
Grace Lambchops" Lamb, a drummer, comic
Mr. Myers, drama teacher, easy-going
Iris Kelly, well-to-do, lovely dancer
Goodman "Goody" King, jazz trumpeter
Mabel Washington, R&B singer, plump, comic
Also: Students at P.A., who have lines and sing, and who constantly interact 
and grow with the others.
The performers should be able to perform the specialty art of their assigned 
character, especially the instrumentalists.

Take I-271 south to the Rockside Road exit, turn left and go to Aurora Road 
and turn right. Go approximately 250 feet and turn right again on Perkins 
Road. Take Perkins Road about 1,500 feet and the City Hall Campus is on the 
Left. Turn left into the first City Hall driveway (City Hall Sign) and go 
straight ahead. Community Center will be on the left-hand side.
>From South:
Take I-271 north to the Rockside Road exit and turn right. Go to the Aurora 
Road/Rockside Road intersection and turn right on Aurora Road. Go 
approximately 250 feet and turn right again on Perkins Road. Take Perkins 
Road about 1,500 feet and the City Hall Campus is on the Left. Turn left 
into the first City Hall driveway (City Hall Sign) and go straight ahead. 
Community Center will be on the left hand side.
>From East:
Take US 422 west to I-271 South and exit at Rockside Road. Turn right onto 
Rockside Road and go to the Aurora Road/Rockside Road intersection and turn 
right on Aurora Road. Go approximately 250 feet and turn right again on 
Perkins Road. Take Perkins Road about 1,500 feet and the City Hall Campus is 
on the Left. Turn left into the first City Hall driveway (City Hall Sign) 
and go straight ahead. Community Center will be on the left hand side.
>From West:
Take I-480 east to the Northfield Road exit. Turn Right onto Northfield Road 
and go to the Northfield/Rockside Road Intersection. Turn left onto Rockside 
Road and go to the Aurora Road/Rockside Road intersection and turn right on 
Aurora Road. Go approximately 250 feet and turn right again on Perkins Road. 
Take Perkins Road about 1,500 feet and the City Hall Campus is on the Left.
