YOU CAN'T PLAY BALL IN A SKIRT!
	This Bicentennial Premier is being put together by Eden Valley, Ritter
Public Library, Holmes County District Public Library, Norwalk Public
Library, and Tuscarawas County Public Library.  Dr. Alta Weiss grew up
and retired in Ragersville, Ohio of Tuscarawas County.  She played
baseball on an all male team in Vermilion (the semi-pro Vermilion
Independents) using the money she earned to put herself through medical
school.  Susan Brewer  will portray this woman ahead of her times.

in this storytelling program with Bette Lou Higgins!  Performances at
the Huron Public Library on April 15, 2003 at 7p.m.; 333 William St.;

the public.

GREAT LAKES LADIES: This storytelling program will introduce you to some
amazing women of the Inland Seas including Maebelle Mason and Abigail
Becker.  Join us at the Brecksville Nature Center of the Cleveland
Metroparks on Friday, April 25, 2003 at 7p.m.  For more information
contact the Nature Center at 440-526-1012. This performance is free and
open to the public.

OHIO FACES AND PLACES:  Celebrate the Ohio Bicentennial with this
program spotlighting some unusual events and people in the state's
history.  Join us at the Brownhelm Historical Association's Legacy
dinner on Saturday, April 26, 2003 at the Vermilion on the Lake
Clubhouse at 6p.m.  Tickets to the dinner and program are $35 per
person, advance sale only.  Call Tracy Lockhart at 440-965-8888 for
tickets and information.
