Playhouse Square’s 9th Annual Fair on the Square
To Feature Dobama Theatre Among Exhibitors

More than 600 Northeast Ohio educators will meet with this area’s leading
cultural and educational organizations to plan field trips and other
exciting events for next school year during this year’s FREE Fair on the
Square on April 28 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Amid the lighting of the State Theatre Stage and a myriad of decorations,
refreshments, and colorful cultural displays, teachers will talk with
representatives from Cleveland organizations – including Dobama Theatre of
Cleveland Heights– to plan memorable and educational activities for their
classes next school year. Fair on the Square is the only FREE, local event
that brings Northeast Ohio educators into direct contact with these
organizations to learn about field trip and curriculum enhancing events.
Other notable exhibitors include The Cleveland Browns, The Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame and Museum, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, The Cleveland Opera and
the Great Lakes Theatre Festival.

A FREE “Finding Funding” workshop will also return for the 4th year. From 3
to 4 p.m. educators will have the chance to learn about the funding that is
available for individual teacher and classroom projects. Teachers will also
learn the best ways to apply for such funding. Workshop presenters will
include The Foundation Center Library and several grant-making foundations,
including the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, The Mandel Center's Youth
and Philanthropy Services, and the Cleveland Municipal School District.

Reservations are required to attend Fair on the Square and the “Finding
Funding” workshop. To reserve a place at either or both of these free
events, call the Playhouse Square Center Education Department at (216)
348-7909. Or register online at www.playhousesquare.com/faironthesquare.
Fair on the Square is presented by the Playhouse Square Center Education
Department.
