Announcing a New Idea in Sound Design for The Greater Cleveland Area:
Poor Richard's Sound Design Service
This is a new idea in Theatre Sound Design, that is aimed towards
Theatre companies and organizations, that otherwise might not have enough
resources to hire a Sound Designer for their productions. Although I
feel strongly that most productions can gain from having a legitimate
Sound Design, it is unfortunate that many theatre companies can not
afford to hire a professional Sound Designer. Some productions may end
up with no sound at all, or in some cases the sound requirements may end
up as the responsibility of one of the other members of a production
team.
It is for this reason that I have created a new Sound Design Service.

What I am hoping to achieve with this service is to better utilize the
sound effects library I have built up over the years, and as funds allow
to continue to expand it, by providing high quality Sound Design
services, at rates that most small theatre organizations can afford.
Some of you may remember that I did an informal market survey about this
idea this past fall. I received nothing but encouragement about this
idea. I would like to thank the many people who responded to my
request.
