About the Production Staff:

Director R. Scott Posey comes to us from The Cleveland Opera where he is
a permanent member of the Opera on Tour cast. Besides being an
accomplished director, Scott has worked with every theatre in the city:
including The Cleveland Playhouse and Great Lakes Theatre Festival.
Musical Director, Kira Seaton, is participating in her 22nd production
with CCC West. Choreographer, Martin Cespedes , last appeared in the
national tours of Man of La Mancha with Jack Jones and Ron Holgate where
he completed over 300 performances in the role of Pedro, "Lun Tha" in
The King and I with Hailey Mills and Marie Osmond, and Faith Prince
,South Pacific with Robert Goulet, and West Side Story with Bebe
Neuwirth. Martin has directed and staged the off-Broadway production of
Scrooge and Marley as well as Nuts and Bolts to rave reviews and
restaged Israel Horovitz's long-running production of Line at the 13th
Street Reperatory Company in New York City. His most recent opera
credit was the lavish PBS production of Le Cid with Placido Domingo and
the Washington Opera where he served as dance and fight captain. He is
currently directing the independent film Edison Project and the untitled
documentary on the life of Benjamin Matthews. His next theater project
is Jesus Christ Superstar this summer at Rocky River Community Theater.

award winning hand to a CCC West production - as well as playing the
role of Admiral von Schreiber on stage. And the Light Designer is the
talented Shawna Melnykowski.=20

About the Play:

When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is
dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed
naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her
generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain,
and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that
Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's
immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the
mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the
most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre.=20
