Hello everyone.

Here is your weekly digest of news and events information from the Oberlin 
Conservatory of Music.

I have much to tell you about today, beginning with the news that pianist 
Thomas Rosenkranz, a 1999 graduate of the Conservatory, has won the 
American Pianists Association Classical Fellowship Award.

Also new this week, an Oberlin Portrait of pianist Elena Loskova, one of 
the winners of this year's Oberlin Concerto Competition.

This is a busy week for great performances at Oberlin, beginning tonight at 
8 p.m. with violinist Julia Sakharova--another Concerto Competition 
winner--performing with the Oberlin Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Steven 
Smith.

On Sunday at 3 p.m., The Cleveland Orchestra, conducted by David Robertson 
and featuring pianist Yefim Bronfman, performs in Finney Chapel as part of 
Oberlin's Artist Recital Series.

Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra presents a free 
concert in Finney Chapel.
