Door Slamming, Time Hopping Farce, Communicating Doors, set to Open in
Hudson!

A unique theater experience is coming to Hudson. After all, how often do you
get to see a time traveling comic thriller? (Probably not often.) But that's
just how the Hudson Players' upcoming production of the modern Alan
Ayckbourn script Communicating Doors can best be described. Opening this
Friday May 2, and running May 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 & 17 the show promises a fast
moving good time. In fact, opening night promises a reception afterwards at
The Reserve Inn where patrons can mingle with the cast and crew.
Reservations can made by calling 330-655-8522 and pre-sale tickets are
available for purchase at The Learned Owl bookstore in Hudson. Curtain time
is 8 p.m. and tickets $10.00 with student, group and senior citizen discouts
available. Communicating Doors is directed by Alex Nine.

The show has been described by some critics in the past as "a clever and
finally quite moving work" and "...a hilarious, door-slamming, time-hopping
farce"

So just what is the story about? A mystery-thriller-comedy in which time
travel plays an important role. It begins with Ms. Poopay Dayseer, a
'specialist sexual consultant' who unexpectedly finds herself enmeshed in
some very dangerous business. One man wants to kill her, another wants to
confess to multiple murders, and to top it all off, the 'communicating door'
between hotel rooms is actually a portal through time. Now she's dealing
with a murderer lurking in the past as well as one in the future, past wives
who are unaware they are about to be murdered, overzealous hotel security
guards and old men who are also young, forcing her to help save everyone's
life, including her own.

Called one of the 10 best plays of 1998 by TIME Magazine, the show promises
something for everyone.

For more information visit the Hudson Players website at
www.hudsonplayers.com or call 330-655-8522. Group rates along with student
and senior citizen discounts are available.

The Hudson Players are one of the areas longest running community theaters
and a are members of the Hudson Chamber of Commerce, The Ohio Community
Theatre Association and the American Association of Community Theater.
