" MEMORIAL"

A Special Engagement in honor of Memorial Day
Hosted by
The Powerhouse Pub & Cabaret

This exciting, entertaining and thought provoking drama takes us back to the
days of the early sixties. Through the eyes of homeless travelers, we get a
glimpse of one of the most controversial times in the history of the United
States, the Vietnam War. this heart-wrenching drama also depicts the pain and
grief caused by one of the blodiest times in Cleveland's history, the 1966
Hough Riots. "Memorial" reflects a period in Cleveland's history from 1960 to
1970, culminating with the unforgettable May 4, 1970 shootings at Kent State
University.

Fred Taylor, a local playwright, has captured these chilling times, which
highlight the glamour, decode the myths and entrench us in this production.
"Memorial" is illustrated through poetry, drama and dance. "Memorial" is
choreographed by Marta Bermudez, a former dancer of the Cleveland
Contemporary Dance Company.
