The
Additional =
Information:
This international hit comedy begins as a =
meaningful
discussion about art and grows to embrace an often very funny discussion =
about
the role, value and obligation of friendship. Serge has bought a very =
expensive
minimalist contemporary painting.
Marc is his classicist friend who views the painting with disdain =
and
looks at the purchase almost as an insult to their friendship. Yvan forms the
third part of this triangle as he tries to play peacemaker between the =
other
two. But eventually, a =
choice must
be made.  =
;
While the premise of the play is =
simple,
the questions it addresses about friendship and art are more =
complex. “Art is one of the best =
new
comedies written in recent years,” according to Carol Dunne, the =
director
for this
“I was drawn to this play because it is so
smart,” Dunne continues.
“You think you are watching a play that pokes fun at =
contemporary
art, but you are touched on so many levels. Ultimately, you leave the =
theater
considering the nature of long-term friendships and wondering ‘Can =
these
relationships survive individual =
growth?’”

Here's something to consider...is your =
acting
career worth $200?
Most actors will spend that on a good
headshot. Your photo and =
resume
are part
of your "tool kit".
But, who are you going to send them to? Will
they help you during the audition =
process? Are they truly representative =
of
you and your abilities? Do they help you gain insight =
to a
sometimes
confusing and frustrating =
business?
Now, what if you could use that same =
amount of
money to brainstorm and
network with entertainment industry
pros--agents, casting directors, acting
coaches, and other seasoned =
professionals--who
can help you lay out a plan
for success? Wouldn't that be just as valuable to you? Would you do =
it?
Well, you can!
The Performing Artist's Workshop Series =
is
bringing these professionals to
you for 2 days only...Saturday, May 31st =
&
Sunday, June 1st, at the
Renaissance Cleveland Hotel =
Downtown. Don't let this unique =
opportunity
pass you by. Your next audition may just depend on =
it!
Sure, it's an investment of $200. The question isn't whether or =
not you
can
afford to attend...THE REAL QUESTION IS =
WHETHER
YOU CAN AFFORD NOT TO!
