Airing on Applause Thursday May 15 at 7:30 p.m. on WVIZ/PBS with host =
Dee Perry...

				*	An interview with Franz Welser M=F6st. Franz Welser M=F6st has =
been the Music Director for the Cleveland Orchestra since last fall. =
The forty-two-year-old conductor was born in Austria and originally =
began his career as a concert violinist. However, a car accident left =
him unable to play professionally. Thus, began his new career as a =
conductor. He's considered the next generation of great music =
directors, and in part one of an interview, Welser M=F6st describes his =
style as a conductor.

				*	Local vocal legend. Local singer Jimmy Scott has had his share of =
the blues...the house where he grew up and learned to love music was =
replaced by an empty field. And a promising musical career was lost for =
several decades, after a bad recording contract left Scott living in =
obscurity. But then his life took a dramatic turn... ideastream's David =
C. Barnett reports on singer Jimmy Scott and his biography, Faith in =
Time. =20

				*	Young musician with an old soul. The diverse vocal stylings of =
Clarence Bucaro have never been more apparent than in his CD "Sweet =
Corn." The CD's variety of musical blends has record stores confused as =
to how to categorize it. However, it's not just Bucaro's unique brand =
of music that's getting him noticed, people can't believe that the =
singer behind the songs is really still a kid.
