Dobama Theatre announces a special signed performance of the Marilyn Bianchi
Kids’ Playwriting Festival on Sunday, June 8. American Sign Language (ASL)
interpreters will be signing along with the production so that deaf or
hard-of-hearing patrons can enjoy it better.

Dobama Theatre has received funding from the Ohio Arts Council in the form
of a grant, part of which is earmarked for signed and audio-described
performances.

Dobama Theatre is also equipped with a hearing-assistance system for its
hard-of-hearing patrons, who simply notify the theatre of their special need
at the time of their reservation.  Dobama Theatre has a website, at
www.dobama.org.  The theatre does not offer electronic ticketing at this
time, but patrons can make reservations via email at dobama at core.com for the
signed and audio-described performance.

Every year, the Marilyn Bianchi Kids' Playwriting Festival at Dobama
Theatre, the oldest festival of its kind in the United States, accepts play
submissions from kids in grades 1-12.  The festival is open to all students
home-schooled or enrolled in Cuyahoga County public and private schools.
Winners will be honored at the Benefit Night performance on Thursday, June
5th at 7:30 p.m.  Each winner will receive a $100 U.S. Savings Bond.

Special Benefit Performance – Thursday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m.
($25 per person, reservations required)

FREE Performances (winning plays from grades 1-8)
Friday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 7 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 8 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
